The Town of Lookout Mountain sits on top of the mountain at about 1,850 feet. It was incorporated in 1890 and is home to around two thousand people on a little over a square mile, with its sister city, Lookout Mountain, Georgia, across the state line to the south. Few places in the metro carry more history: the Incline Railway climbs the mountain's face, and Point Park, part of the Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park, marks the 1863 battle fought on its slopes. The houses suit the setting, a mix of older stone and brick homes and newer builds on wooded lots, some of them right on the bluff.
Up here the valley is part of the audience. A house near the brow is seen from its own street and from the city far below, so a clean, continuous outline carries most of the effect, and a permanent track shows it off every night of the year rather than five weeks in December. On a historic front with heavy stonework or deep trim, a seasonal display designed around that detail is often the better choice, and it comes down after the holidays.
What a Lookout Mountain install actually takes
Access, trees and weather. Drives are steep, roads are narrow and winding, lots are wooded and rarely flat, and a house on the bluff can have almost no room behind it, so where a ladder or lift can stand is settled on the site visit before anything is booked. Fixings are chosen for the actual edge, because older stone and brick houses rarely present a uniform fascia, and nothing is fastened through roofing.
The mountain runs colder and wetter than the valley and ice lingers, so we use fixings that will still hold in February, and installs here need dry days more than anywhere else we work. Book early: mountain dates are the first to go each season.

Christmas and seasonal light installation on Lookout Mountain
Seasonal lighting is a full service, not a box of lights from a shelf. We design the display around your roofline, install commercial-grade product cut to fit your house, and service it through the season if anything goes dark. After the holidays we take it down and store it until next year, so nothing lives in your garage and nothing gets crushed between seasons.
Booking order decides the calendar. Installs run in the order they are booked, so the earliest dates go to whoever called first. If you want the lights on before the first weekend of December, get on the list well before the season starts.
Permanent outdoor lighting on Lookout Mountain
Permanent lighting is a slim track fixed under the roofline that stays up all year and reads as trim from the street. Run warm white on an ordinary evening, color through December, orange and white for a Saturday in autumn, or switch it off entirely. It is all controlled from an app, so nobody climbs anything.
We install two systems. JellyFish is the one most people have heard of and we are an authorized dealer. Bosso is an alternative with its own fixture and control system that suits some rooflines better. We bring both to the consult and tell you which fits your house, including when that is the cheaper option.
Commercial and HOA lighting on Lookout Mountain
We light storefronts, offices, entrances and common areas as well as homes. Commercial work is scheduled around your trading hours so the install never costs you a business day, and a larger property can be phased across several visits.
If an HOA, a landlord or a historic district has rules about fixture color, brightness or where a track may sit, bring them to the consult and we design to them from the start rather than asking for an exception later.
