Christmas & Permanent Light Installation in East Brainerd, TN

Seasonal displays and year-round architectural lighting for East Brainerd homes and the Hamilton Place corridor.

Lighting built for East Brainerd rooflines

East Brainerd is where a lot of Chattanooga’s newer family housing went, and the rooflines reflect it — mostly built from the 1980s onward, straight continuous fascia, seamless gutter, and plenty of two-storey fronts on lots with mature planting. It is one of the denser parts of the metro for the kind of house that wants a proper display: wide frontage, visible from the street, and an owner who has already worked out that the front peak is too high to be doing on a ladder.

Permanent lighting is the strongest fit here for exactly that reason. The fascia takes a track cleanly, it reads as trim in daylight, and one install replaces every December after it. Seasonal work is busy too, and the two run together — plenty of East Brainerd customers start with a seasonal display and move to permanent once they have seen the ladder work up close.

What an East Brainerd install actually takes

Height is the practical issue rather than complexity. A two-storey front with a gable over the entry puts the top line out of ladder reach, and mature trees over a driveway can make lift placement the hardest part of the day. We settle access on the site visit rather than on install morning, and power gets run to a sensible point instead of extension leads across a lawn.

The commercial side is next door. The Hamilton Place and Gunbarrel Road corridor is the metro’s biggest retail frontage, and lighting there is a comparison exercise — a dark unit beside a lit one loses. Retail installs are sectioned and scheduled so no frontage goes dark on a December Saturday.

What we install

Christmas & Seasonal

Full-service holiday displays: design, commercial-grade lights, installation, in-season service, then takedown and storage.

JellyFish Permanent

Track-mounted permanent lighting tucked under the roofline. Millions of colors, app controlled, holiday or everyday.

Bosso Smart Lighting

A permanent lighting alternative with its own fixture and control system. We fit it to homes JellyFish does not suit.

Commercial & HOA

Storefronts, offices, common areas and entrances, scheduled installs that work around your business hours.

Christmas and seasonal light installation in East Brainerd

Seasonal lighting is a full service, not a box of lights from a shelf. We design the display around your roofline, install commercial-grade product cut to fit your house, and service it through the season if anything goes dark. After the holidays we take it down and store it until next year, so nothing lives in your garage and nothing gets crushed between seasons.

Booking order decides the calendar. Installs run in the order they are booked, so the earliest dates go to whoever called first. If you want the lights on before the first weekend of December, get on the list well before the season starts.

Permanent outdoor lighting in East Brainerd

Permanent lighting is a slim track fixed under the roofline that stays up all year and reads as trim from the street. Run warm white on an ordinary evening, color through December, orange and white for a Saturday in autumn, or switch it off entirely. It is all controlled from an app, so nobody climbs anything.

We install two systems. JellyFish is the one most people have heard of and we are an authorized dealer. Bosso is an alternative with its own fixture and control system that suits some rooflines better. We bring both to the consult and tell you which fits your house, including when that is the cheaper option.

Commercial and HOA lighting in East Brainerd

We light storefronts, offices, entrances and common areas as well as homes. Commercial work is scheduled around your trading hours so the install never costs you a business day, and a larger property can be phased across several visits.

If an HOA, a landlord or a historic district has rules about fixture color, brightness or where a track may sit, bring them to the consult and we design to them from the start rather than asking for an exception later.

East Brainerd questions we get asked

Who permits work out here, the city or the county?
The City of Chattanooga. East Brainerd sits inside the city limits, so anything that needs filing goes through the city's Inspection Division on Market Street rather than through Hamilton County on Cromwell Road. It's a common mix-up in this part of the metro because so much of the surrounding area is unincorporated.
Our front peak is too high for a ladder. Is that a problem?
No, it's the reason most people here call us. A two-story front with a gable over the entry puts the top line out of reach, so we bring a lift, settle where it sits during the consult, and run power to a sensible point instead of dragging cords across the lawn.
There are big trees over the driveway. Do you deal with those?
No, and it needs sorting before we start. A tree company comes first. On the older East Brainerd streets the planting over a driveway is often the hardest part of the day, because it decides where a lift can stand, and that's a bigger constraint than the roofline itself.
We're a tenant at Hamilton Place. Do we need the landlord involved?
Almost certainly, and earlier than you'd think. Most retail leases put exterior alterations under landlord approval, and centers of that size usually have their own criteria on top of anything the city requires. We can design to whatever standard they hand us, but the approval clock is theirs, not ours. Start it before you start us. See commercial and HOA lighting.
Can it stay off most of the year? We don't want a lit house in April.
Yes, and plenty of installs here run exactly that way. The channel is color-matched to the trim and does nothing in daylight, so the fixture sits dark from January to Thanksgiving and nobody notices it. What you're buying at that point is the end of the annual ladder work. The display is the bonus.
