Hixson sits north of the river and has been building steadily for sixty years, so it is genuinely mixed: mid-century ranches on established streets, later infill, and newer subdivisions climbing the ridges toward Big Ridge and out toward Chickamauga Lake. Ranch houses are low and reachable but often have shallow or interrupted fascia. The ridge-side houses are the opposite — straightforward edges on ground that falls away hard. Both are normal work. They are just not the same work.
That mix is why the consult matters more here than a brochure. Newer Hixson houses take a permanent track well, and it is the obvious answer where the fascia runs straight. On the older ranches a seasonal display is often better value, because the run is short, reachable and quick to service. We tell you which we would fit before you have paid for anything.
What a Hixson install actually takes
Two things come up repeatedly. First, tree cover: Hixson’s established streets have big mature hardwoods, and branches over a roofline change both the sightline and where a lift can stand. Second, terrain — on the ridge-side lots the back of the house can sit a full storey below the front, so the rear run is a different job from the frontage. Both get decided on the site visit.
There is commercial frontage here too, around the Northgate area and along Hixson Pike, mostly retail and office. Those runs are planned around trading hours and installed in sections, and they tend to be permanent rather than seasonal — nobody wants to rehang a shopfront every year.

Christmas and seasonal light installation in Hixson
Seasonal lighting is a full service, not a box of lights from a shelf. We design the display around your roofline, install commercial-grade product cut to fit your house, and service it through the season if anything goes dark. After the holidays we take it down and store it until next year, so nothing lives in your garage and nothing gets crushed between seasons.
Booking order decides the calendar. Installs run in the order they are booked, so the earliest dates go to whoever called first. If you want the lights on before the first weekend of December, get on the list well before the season starts.
Permanent outdoor lighting in Hixson
Permanent lighting is a slim track fixed under the roofline that stays up all year and reads as trim from the street. Run warm white on an ordinary evening, color through December, orange and white for a Saturday in autumn, or switch it off entirely. It is all controlled from an app, so nobody climbs anything.

Bosso is an alternative with its own fixture and control system that suits some rooflines better. We bring both to the consult and tell you which fits your house, including when that is the cheaper option.
